About Us

Colin Squire and Carlos Miquel, founders of SuperYachtDestinations.com, met for the first time during the 2016 Antigua Charter Yacht Show where Carlos did a presentation on Patagonia. The following year they met up at the show again and Colin, seeing just how passionate Carlos - who is from Chile - was about educating yachting professionals on South American destinations, asked if he would be interested in writing an article for his Yachting Matters magazine.

Three editorials by Carlos and two years later, amidst the first Covid 19 lockdown, Colin launched SuperyachtProfessionals.com alongside weekly webinars for its members to assess the global pandemic and its effects on the industry. After the first two meetings Colin and Carlos began a conversation that culminated in a series of well attended, educational, interactive webinars featuring global destinations. The audiences comprised a mix of industry professionals, brokers and captain’s and it was not long before SuperYachtDestinations.com became a reality. 

Since that initial meeting in 2016 Colin and Carlos have been good friends, both passionate about yachting, the people and the destinations that are so vital to the enjoyment of adventurous yacht owners and guests wishing to explore beyond the horizon.
